Combining irresistibly charming, boot-stompin’ tunes with intertwined twangy and jangly guitars, powerful vocal harmonies and a kick drum made from an old suitcase, Jaime April and Jason Moon make up the Canadian duo APRIL MOON.
Growing up on the wild prairies beside the North Saskatchewan River, the pair learned early that hitting the open road was a necessity to travel the vast distances between venues. They haven’t put down roots since, splitting their time between several countries and cruising from gig to gig in their beloved campervan, affectionately known as The Clubhouse.
10 Year Anniversary of
'The Bus That Takes the Sad People Away'!
Blending folk rock, Americana, and a touch of psychedelia, the album 'The Bus That Takes the Sad People Away' captures April Moon at a turning point while holding tight to their unmistakable sound. Fan favourites like “Bloody Suzy” and “Days Go By” sit comfortably alongside deeper gems: the playful, round-sung “When You’re Alone” and the traditional country glow of “Tonight Everything Is Alright,” hinting at the road April Moon would soon travel. Ten years on, it’s a record full of heart, harmony, and the kind of songs that feel like old friends.
