Artist Bio:
Combining their irresistibly charming, boot-stompin’ tunes with intertwined twangy and jangly guitars, powerful vocal harmonies and a kick drum made from an old suitcase, Jaime April and Jason Moon make up the Canadian duo APRIL MOON. Known for their playful, well crafted songwriting and unique take on covers, these two play the hell out of their instruments, leaving toes tapping, cheeks aching from smiling, and spirits lifted sky-high. Growing up on the wild prairies beside the North Saskatchewan River in Canada, embracing the open road became a necessity to travel between venues and the pair haven’t put down roots since, splitting their time between several countries a year and living out of a cool campervan they call 'The Clubhouse'.
APRIL MOON whimsically fuse genres, weaving effortlessly from alt-country and Americana to folksy blues, rock and pop although their new EP, Forgiveness Juice definitely leans towards the sounds of their more rootsy upbringing. Following up on their self-released full album The Other One Was You, the duo worked in a Liverpool studio with a funding grant to record the new music and gain the support of radio programs such as BBC Introducing and Countryline Homegrown. Forgiveness Juice was rolled out with a headline ‘Americana all-dayer’ show at Future Yard in Birkenhead and followed by an extended tour that is taking the duo across the UK, Europe and Canada.
APRIL MOON call their genre Canadiana - think rootsy Americana, but with a big helping of northern spirit that oozes through their style of kooky storytelling and lyrics, creating a vivid, sunshine-filled world that covers everything from love and divorce to life on the prairies, living in an abandoned brewery, cow autopsies, and the nomad life.

With over 1,000 live shows under their belt in multiple countries, APRIL MOON has performed everything from theatres and festival stages to folk clubs and house concerts. Aside from headlining an Americana all-dayer at Future Yard, Birkenhead, performing at a country music showcase in London and appearing multiple times at the iconic Cavern Live Lounge in Liverpool, they’ve also had the chance to support the likes of Ian Prowse & Amsterdam, Sam Roberts Band, Deep Dark Woods, The Often Herd, Jez Lowe and Kirsten Adamson.
